This course has been developed in conjunction with MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme).

Pre-requisites

 

To achieve this qualification, you must hold BS7671: 2018 requirements for Electrical Installation (18th edition)

And either

  • Formal craft qualification e.g. N/SVQ 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures)
  • Equivalent earlier qualification that includes Inspection and Testing
  • Meet the requirements of the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS)

Stand-alone technical certifications/vocationally related qualifications (VRQ) (non-competency based) are NOT acceptable

 

Hands on training for success

 

All our course trainers have decades of teaching experience. You will learn from a range of training methods including both hands-on installation skills as well as theory in our computer-equipped classroom. The course will cover an introduction to EESS, legislation, standards and industry guidance. Also, Electrical Energy Storage Systems, design and installation, initial verification, handover and DNO Notification.

This BPEC course has been designed to meet the requirements of EESS in accordance with the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and the MCS Battery standard MIS 3012.

The installation of the EESS, is work that can be carried out by competent, qualified operatives holding appropriate pre-requisite qualifications and the aim of the training course is to ensure individuals have the knowledge and required skills to carry out this work.

You will be assessed through multiple-choice exams and practical assessments.
