Hands on training for success

All our course trainers have decades of teaching experience. You will learn from a range of training methods including both hands-on installation skills on the roof as well as theory in our computer-equipped classroom. The course will cover PV panels in context of renewable technologies, how the system works, design, installation, commissioning, hand over, maintenance, fault finding as well as the control and power requirements.

This C&G accredited course includes the relevant hand-outs to support your learning. Whilst the practical elements you will complete include measuring irradiance, siting of solar panels and testing. With these skills and knowledge, it will prepare you from start to finish to design and instal a solar PV system by selecting the most appropriate system for a property to meet the needs of your client. It will also give you an understanding of the legal issues surrounding the installation as well as guidance on completion and submission of the notifications.
