Course Info


This City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing is for candidates to help them to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally carry out inspection and testing on electrical installations. The 2391 is aimed at the specialist knowledge and skills you need, including appropriate legislation, inspection and testing techniques, completing and issuing certificates or reports and understanding of results and measurements. Assessment will be through a multiple-choice on-line test and a practical task. This six-day course will cover all the skills necessary to gain the City & Guilds certification.
 

Pre-requisites

 

A minimum of a Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years electrical industry experience
At least 18 years of age

You’ll learn from a range of training methods in our computer-equipped classroom. All courses include the relevant hand-outs to support your learning.

a practical assignment
a visual inspection
an online multiple choice test
a written, centre marked short answer question paper.

What the course covers?
This six-day course enables you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally install and carry out initial verification and periodic inspection and testing on electrical installations.

The practical tasks will you to demonstrate their practical skills. Most practical tasks will be assessed by observation of you carrying out the tasks and an assessment of the final outcome/product.



The visual inspection task you will need to visually inspect electrical installation components.



The online test including 60 questions over 120 minutes.



A written test around 4 questions in 100 minutes.
